Requirements
You'll need an MD with specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, board certified or the recognized equivalent. A valid DHA, DOH, or MOH license is ideal, though we also consider candidates who can realistically obtain one soon. We're looking for meaningful experience diagnosing and treating conditions like ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, autism spectrum presentations, and early onset psychiatric conditions in children and teens. Comfort working closely with parents and schools as part of the treatment process is important, since so much of this work involves the wider family, not just the child. You should be used to collaborating with psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists as part of a coordinated care team. Confidence with electronic medical records and clear documentation is expected. Strong English is required, and Arabic or French will help given the patient mix here. Most importantly, we're looking for someone patient, warm, and genuinely comfortable working with children, since that comes through quickly to families.
